I can't pinpoint my single greatest Arsenal moment - Arsene Wenger
ARSENE WENGER has cherished his long rein at Arsenal, so much so that there is no standout highlight from his near 18 years in charge.
Wenger, who was presented with a special award before the start of his press conference, takes his side to Chelsea tomorrow for his 1000th game in charge.
While the Gunners could end their long wait for a piece of silverware as they are involved in the title race and the FA Cup, Wenger refused to name his favourite moment during his time in north London.
"There have been many and I can't classify the moments of happiness and sadness but what is sure, you never forget each defeat," Wenger said.
"It is a scar but you forget the happiness quickly because you find it normal and you work for that.
"You want the next moment of happiness and you expect it in the next game."
When quizzed about what he put his longevity down to, Wenger said: "I put it down to my love for players, people and for the game.
"My excitement for the next game. So I have an ideal of making players perfect and having the perfect game.
"I always pursue that happiness week after week. Sometimes you touch it a little bit but of course it goes again and you fight to get it back again."
