Chelsea's Jose Mourinho charged with improper conduct after seeing red at Aston Villa
CHELSEA boss Jose Mourinho has been charged with improper conduct by the FA for his behaviour during last Saturday's match against Aston Villa.
While the FA confirmed yesterday that Mourinho would not face punishment for his post-match comments about referee Chris Foy, the Portugese boss has been called to account over his actions during the game.
A statement on the FA website read: "It is alleged the Chelsea manager's behaviour in re-entering the field of play in or around the 90th minute of the fixture and approaching the Match Referee amounted to improper conduct."
Mourinho has until 6pm on 24 March 2014 to respond to the charge.
