Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain blames Arsenal's final ball on Bayern Munich knockout
ARSENAL attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain believes the visitors 'lacked a bit of quality' with their final ball after bowing out of the Champions League to Bayern Munich this evening.
The Gunners managed a commendable 1-1 draw in the second leg of the last-16, but had to make up a 2-0 deficit from the first leg to have any chance of progressing.
And Oxlade-Chamberlain claims his side needed something more special in the final third to come away with a win at the Allianz Arena.
He said: "In the first game, losing 2-0 at home (meant it) was never going to be an easy task coming here.
"Bayern have weaknesses like any other team and when you score anyone can get nervous. When we did that we thought we had a chance but we just couldn't do it.
"Maybe we lacked a bit of quality with the final ball. At the top level you need that. The boys put in a great shift and we can be proud with our efforts."
