Tottenham's Younes Kaboul available for Arsenal derby after red card rescinded
TOTTENHAM have been successful in their appeal to overturn Younes Kaboul's red card during the 4-0 defeat to Chelsea last weekend, the Football Association have confirmed.
This means the centre-back will be available to play for Spurs in the north London derby against Arsenal on Sunday.
The 28-year-old was dismissed after appearing to foul Samuel Eto'o in a goalscoring position at Stamford Bridge, with the visitors crashing to a 4-0 defeat.
An FA statement read: "Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, a claim of wrongful dismissal concerning Tottenham Hotspur’s Younes Kaboul was upheld.
"Kaboul was dismissed for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity during the game against Chelsea on 8 March 2014.
"The player’s one-match suspension has therefore been withdrawn with immediate effect."
