Newcastle Dan Gosling admits FA charge over betting rules breach
NEWCASTLE'S Dan Gosling has admitted an FA charge over multiple breaches rules relating to betting.
Gosling has admitted breaking Rule E8(b) which relates to gambling on games in which a player is involved or has any influence over.
The rule states that a player may not "bet, either directly or indirectly, or instruct, permit, cause or enable any person to bet on" such games.
Gosling has requested a personal hearing with the FA, with a date yet to be set.
The defender is currently back with Newcastle after having a loan spell with Blackpool earlier in the season.
Gosling started his career at Plymouth before making a move to Everton in 2008.
The England Under 21 international subsequently moved to Newcastle in 2010, but has failed to earn a regular place in Alan Pardew's side this season.
