Arsenal star Tomas Rosicky given Bayern Munich option
TOMAS ROSICKY is a target for German heavyweights Bayern Munich, with the midfielder's contract at Arsenal set to expire in the summer.
Arsenal have yet to open talks with Rosicky over a new deal, despite Arsene Wenger's insistence that the 33-year-old will be staying put.
But according to reports, Bayern Munich are preparing an offer to tempt the Czech Republic international away from the Emirates.
Sources in Germany claim Bayern have wanted to sign Rosicky since 2001 and are keen on bringing him back to Germany on a free transfer.
The Bundesliga giants have a plethora of options in midfield, but senior figures at the club and manager Pep Guardiola are long-term admirers of Rosicky.
The former Borussia Dortmund player is not an automatic first-team regular at Arsenal, but is often called upon by Wenger for key games.
Team-mate Mesut Ozil has been impressed by Rosicky, recently saying: "In my opinion Tomas belongs to the best midfielders in the Premier League."
