Manchester United boss David Moyes to attend hearing after accepting FA charge
MANCHESTER UNITED boss David Moyes has accepted an FA charge of misconduct in light of comments he made about referees after his side's 2-1 Capital One Cup semi-final defeat against Sunderland.
The Scot decried that United were “beginning to laugh at referees" after what he called “terrible” decisions as well as suggesting the Premier League champions were “playing referees as well as the opposition."
Moyes was initially charged on Friday and had until 6pm today to respond.
He will now attend a non-personal hearing.
Moyes could face a similar punishment to Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho who accepted misconduct charges and were fined £8,000 each.
