Killie can keep loan pair
KILMARNOCK have agreed deals to keep Jackson Irvine and Michael Gardyne for the season – but have shown the door to Reuben Gabriel and Ibrahim Rabiu.
Killie manager Allan Johnston has thrashed out a deal with Celtic to extend Australian Irvine’s loan until the summer and agreed a deal in principle with Dundee United to keep Gardyne for the season.
But Johnston has started to prune his squad to free up cash for possible January additions, with Nigerian pair Rabiu and Gabriel having left the Rugby Park club.
The Killie boss has also decided to release two of his own summer signings.
Former Dundee striker Mark Stewart has been told he won’t be getting a deal beyond this month, along with former Livingston midfielder Kyle Jacobs.
Johnston also still has to make decisions on the futures of Algerian defender Ismael Bouzid and Portuguese striker David Silva.
