Are you watching Man Utd? Sneijder puts Galatasaray through at expense of Juventus
MANCHESTER UNITED target Wesley Sneijder had reason to celebrate as his match-winner put Galatasaray through to the last 16 of the Champions League at Juventus' expense.
Sneijder struck five minutes from time to ensure the Turkish giants joined Real Madrid in the last 16.
The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, with David Moyes reportedly considering selling Shinji Kagawa in order to pave Sneijder's arrival.
Moyes is thought to be keen to bring the 29-year-old, who has a £13million release clause in his contract to Old Trafford in January.
Heavy snowfall meant last night's match had to be abandoned after just 32 minutes.
Juventus had a few sighters at goal, but Sneijder proved to be the difference as he tucked home Didier Drogba's cross with aplomb past Gianluigi Buffon.
Juve pressed for an equaliser but to no avail as Gala held firm to progress to the knockout stages.
The draw for the last 16 will take place on Monday December 16 in Nyon, Switzerland.
