Alan Pardew and Tim Krul scoop November Premier League awards
ALAN PARDEW and Tim Krul have been rewarded for Newcastle's recent resurgence with the Premier League manager and player of the month awards for November.
Pardew picks up the Barclays manager of the month award after his Newcastle side won four straight games in November.
It is the second time the former West Ham boss has collected the gong in his career, having done so first at Upton Park.
And Pardew's goalkeeper Tim Krul makes it a Magpies double by being named as the Barclays player of the month.
Krul helped Newcastle remain unbeaten during November, playing a key role during their four victories including clean sheets against Chelsea and Tottenham.
The Dutchman earned great acclaim for his performance at White Hart Lane as he helped the visitors shut out Spurs on route to a 1-0 win.
Newcastle's other Premier League triumphs last month were against Chelsea (2-0), West Brom and Norwich City (both 2-1).
