London calling! Tottenham plotting £30 million move for ex-Manchester United striker Rossi
TOTTENHAM are weighing up a sensational £30 million move for former Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi.
Spurs have struggled for a cutting edge in front of goal this season, with Roberto Soldado bearing the brunt.
Moreover, with Jermain Defoe tipped to join MLS side Toronto in January, Andre Villas-Boas may look to bolster his frontline.
And it seems Spurs, who have also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain frontman Ezequiel Lavezzi, could plot an ambitious move for Rossi.
Reports suggest technical director Franco Baldini is already working hard on January targets, and chairman Daniel Levy is thought to be a fan of Rossi.
Spurs originally made a move for Rossi when he was at Villarreal before he was struck by a succession of injuries.
Rossi, who netted 32 goals in the 2010/11 season, is under contract with Fiorentina until 2017.
