Moyes unfazed about new United deal for Rooney despite Chelsea threat
DAVID MOYES has insisted that he is not worried about Wayne Rooney's future at Manchester United - despite being in the dark over contract talks with the striker.
Rooney has just over 18 months to go on his current deal with United, but there has been no new negotiations between the player and the club.
Chelsea tried to take advantage of Rooney's situation at Old Trafford this summer, but Moyes managed to hold onto the 28-year-old.
But now he faces a fresh test in attempting to convince Rooney to commit his long-term future to United.
"When will we talk to him about the contract? I don't really know," admitted Moyes.
"I think we are fine. We are just moving on from the summer. It will be done in good course.
"The appropriate people will talk when the time is right."
