Juventus line up Chelsea's Kevin De Bruyne as alternative to Manchester United's Nani
JUVENTUS will turn to Chelsea's Kevin De Bruyne in January but only if they are not able to sign Manchester United's winger Nani.
Reports in Italy suggest that the Turin side have added De Bruyne to their list of possible midfield reinforcements, but Nani still remains their number one target.
Juventus made efforts to bring the Portugese international to Italy over the summer but withdrew their interest after being told that the 27-year-old was about to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.
However, it looks increasingly as though United's intent in signing Nani to a new deal was to prevent the player leaving for nothing at the end of the season.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the enigmatic winger remains a priority for Juve in January after he seemingly failed to win over David Moyes in the first half of the season.
Juventus are thought to want a six-month loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The Serie A club know that any deal is far from a foregone conclusion and that United could opt to retain the player depending on who else they bring in.
And that has caused them to evaluate their fall-back options with De Bruyne looking increasingly appealing.
It seems almost certain that De Bruyne will leave Chelsea on loan in January after falling out with Jose Mourinho, and several clubs in Germany and Spain have already expressed an interest.
Indeed, Juve are also thought to be keeping tabs on both Parma's Jonthan Biabiany and PSG's Jeremy Menez as other alternatives to Nani.
