Mourinho to have final say on De Bruyne future amid Wolfsburg interest
JOSE MOURINHO will have the "final word" on Kevin De Bruyne's future at Chelsea - as Wolfsburg declare their interest in permanently signing the winger.
De Bruyne has been continually linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge after failing to cement a place in the first-team this season.
And after club and country team-mate Eden Hazard advised him to leave, De Bruyne's agent has admitted Mourinho hold the cards regarding his client's future.
"At the beginning of the season we agreed with Chelsea to talk in December," said Patrick De Koster - who represents the Belgian star. "I suppose Jose Mourinho will have the final word."
Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg are keen on giving De Bruyne the regular football he craves as he prepares to go to the World Cup with Belgium next summer.
However, the Germans insist a deal will only materialise if Chelsea agree to a loan move that can be made permanent.
"If Chelsea want to sell him, we are ready to buy him or loan him with an option to buy," said Wolfsburg general manager Klaus Allofs said. "We are not interested in a pure loan agreement."
De Bruyne is also wanted by Schalke and Atletico Madrid, having made just three Premier League appearances this term.
