Graeme Bennett quits Inverness post
GRAEME BENNETT last night quit as Inverness vice-chairman, citing “reservations” about the club’s direction.
The former player and director of football spent 12 years on the Premiership outfit’s board and was its longest serving member.
Bennett played a strategic role in all managerial appointments, including the arrival of Terry Butcher in January 2009.
Butcher, though, took a direct hand in many club matters formerly controlled by Bennett, who became an increasingly peripheral figure in recent times.
In a statement, Bennett said he was standing down due to his “growing reservations about the boardroom mix and the influence that is having”.
Meanwhile, Caley Thistle have completed a short-list for their managerial vacancy.
