Arsenal plot bid to lure Dzeko out of City cold
ARSENE WENGER is weighing up a January move to bring Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to Arsenal.
Wenger is searching for another forward to bolster his attacking options, with fears growing over the work-load on Olivier Giroud.
And Dzeko has resurfaced on the Gunners' radar, with the 27-year-old unhappy with his lack of game-time at City.
Dzeko has eight goals in 16 appearances for club and country this term, but insists he must play more under Manuel Pellegrini.
"I need to play more than I am," Dzeko said. "I’ve only started four games in the Premier League. But if you put me in there for 90 minutes, everything is possible.
Dzeko helped Bosnia and Herzegovina qualify for their first World Cup next summer by scoring 10 goals in European Group G.
And the former Wolfsburg star - who joined City for £27million in 2010 - knows he must be playing regularly to give his country the best chance of success in Brazil.
