Gerrard and Walker ruled out of England clash with Chile
LIVERPOOL captain Steven Gerrard and Tottenham defender Kyle Walker will miss England's friendly with Chile.
Gerrard will relinquish his leadership duties to Chelsea's Frank Lampard for the game at Wembley, allowing him to commemorate his centurion of caps.
Roy Hodgson will be without Gerrard who aggravates a hip injury during Liverpool's win over Fulham, while Walker has a knock that prevented him from training with the Three Lions squad today.
England have not yet confirmed whether or not the pair will be available for the friendly with Germany next Tuesday.
Gerrard and Walker started England's 4-1 win over Montenegro last month, but the latter missed the victory over Poland through suspension.
Glen Johnson is likely to deputise for Walker, while Lampard replaces Gerrard positionally and for the captaincy.
Gerrard and Walker took part in gym work today while the rest of Hodgson's squad trained at London Colney.
