Liverpool eye Adam Lallana as Spurs turn to Luke Shaw
SOUTHAMPTON may need to fend off interest from Liverpool and Tottenham for England duo Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw.
Lallana is a target for Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers plots to bolster his midfield.
And Shaw - who has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea in previous transfer windows - is on Tottenham's radar.
Lallana is expected to make his first appearance for England on Friday against Chile, having been called into Roy Hodgson's squad after starring for the Saints this season.
Under-21 starlet Shaw is pushing on the senior door according to Hodgson, along with fellow defender Nathaniel Clyne.
The Reds are contemplating a move for Lallana if they secure Champions League football this season, which would provide them with a financial windfall to tempt the south-coast club into a sale.
Meanwhile, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is weighing up a bid for Shaw if he fails to land long-term target Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid in January.
