It's a Dyer warning on racism from Swansea winger Nathan
NATHAN DYER fears he will be on the receiving end of a racist attack in Russia tonight.
Swansea, who face Kuban Krasnodar in the Europa League, are the first Premier League team to play on Russian soil since Manchester City star Yaya Toure endured abuse in Moscow just over a fortnight ago.
UEFA fined CSKA Moscow £42,800 and ordered part of their home ground to be closed for the Champions League tie with Bayern Munich later this month.
Winger Dyer insists punishment for racist actions should be greater and hopes any repeat behaviour will not be tolerated.
He said: “You are always fearful when you come to a place that has a reputation. I’ve followed the Toure incident and it’s not nice what’s going on.
“I have not experienced it and I hope it doesn’t happen.”
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is without Michu after the striker limped off in Sunday’s 1-0 south Wales derby defeat by Cardiff with knee and ankle injuries.
Jonjo Shelvey will not face any action from the FA following his ‘swim away’ gesture to Cardiff fans, but did not make the five-hour flight to Krasnodar due to family reasons.
Swansea (probable): Vorm; Rangel, Chico, Williams, Taylor; Britton, Canas, De Guzman; Dyer, Bony, Pozuelo.
Kick-off: 5pm.
TV: ITV4.
