Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar confirms West Ham interest but favours Arsenal move
SENEGALESE striker Khouma Babacar has confirmed that West Ham have been in contact with his agent but would prefer a move to Arsenal.
The 20-year-old, currently on loan at Modena from Fiorentina, has been linked with a £5m move to the Premier League.
Reports in Senegal suggest that Babacar is not only aware of the interest but has a preference for a move to the Emirates if La Viola decide to sell.
The Under-20 international believes a move to the Gunners under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger would be beneficial for his development.
Babacar, who was quoted on Sky Sports, said:"It is very encouraging when you are linked with clubs such as Arsenal, they are one of the best teams in the world and they do great things with young players.
"The manager there has such a good reputation to develop talent, but I am under contract with Fiorentina so they will have to decide if I have to go to England.
"I heard about West Ham through my agent, but they have not made anything official yet."
