Galatasaray eye £13m move for Nani as replacement for Chelsea target Wesley Sneijder
GALATASARAY are ready to offer £13m for Manchester United's Portugese winger Nani in January.
Reports in Turkey suggest that Roberto Mancini has identified Nani as a player he wants as he seeks to overhaul the squad he inherited from Fatih Terim.
According to Fotomac Galatasaray will try and sign the 26-year-old as the man to replace Wesley Sneijder as the star of the Turkish side's midfield.
Sneijder has been linked with a January move to Chelsea, with Dutch national team coach Louis Van Gaal encouraging the player to make the move to boost his international prospects.
But it now appears that Sneijder could also be offered in exchange for Nani, after United had a bid for the former Inter Milan midfielder rejected at the end of the last transfer window.
Reports suggest that Didier Drogba has been actively campaigning behind the scenes for the club to add more quality players and Nani's name is thought to be one that would appease the Ivorian striker.
However, if Sneijder fails to move, Galatasaray would need to offload at least one foreign player before adding Nani, given the Turkish Football Federation's limit of 10 foreign players per squad.
