Swansea striker Michu draws blood in winning cause
MICHU drew blood for the cause as Swansea beat St Gallen 1-0 in the Europa League.
The Spanish striker was caught in the head by a wild boot from Stephane Besle and needed 10 minutes of treatment.
When he returned, he ended up having to change his shirt three times because of the blood on it.
But he remained on the pitch and still played his part as Wayne Routledge hit the second-half winner to give the Swans victory on a night when their goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel saved Goran Karanovic’s early penalty.
Jermain Defoe and Nacer Chadli both scored as Spurs won 2-0 against Anzhi in Moscow, while Wigan beat NK Maribor 3-1.
