Arsene eye move for Basle defender Fabian Schar
ARSENAL are weighing up a move for for Basle centre-back Fabian Schar, who is also a target for Juventus.
The Gunners went to the top of the Premier League after beating Stoke 3-1 at the Emirates yesterday.
But Arsene Wenger is preparing to bolster his squad in January to keep their title bid alive.
And Basle defender Schar has attracted interest from Wenger, after impressing for club and country over the last 12 months.
Schar is just 21 but already has three caps for Switzerland having become a regular at Basle.
The centre-back also has an eye for goal, striking five times in 10 games this season after netting on eight occasions last term.
Italian champions Juventus are also tracking Schar, who was part of the Basle team who beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
And the Swiss outfit are bracing themselves for January bids for St Gallen-born player.
