Yeovil 0 - QPR 1: Charlie Austin's the maestro for Harry Rednapp
Charlie Austin kept QPR on course for a quick return to the Premier League.
The former Burnley star popped up with a 73rd-minute penalty to leave Yeovil nursing a fifth defeat in their last six games.
The breakthrough for table-toppers QPR came when Austin was bundled over in the penalty box by Danny Seaborne 17 minutes from time.
Yeovil complained but it was to no avail. Austin stepped up to keep Rangers on track.
The home side threw the kitchen sink at Rangers in the final minutes but there was no way through with former England keeper Rob Green in sensational form.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp said: “It’s a difficult place to come, so to leave with all three points is pleasing.
“They put us under a lot of pressure at the end, but we won some important headers and Robert Green made some fantastic saves.
“I thought Richard Dunne was magnificent in defence again.”
Yeovil boss Gary Johnson said: “We really got at them in the second half and we created a lot of chances, but it didn’t go our way.”
