Huddersfield 0 - Doncaster 0: Ross Turnbull saves the day
ROSS TURNBULL was the hero for Doncaster with a string of crucial saves to foil the Championship’s top scorer, James Vaughan.
Vaughan, who already has eight goals this season, sprung the offside trap and ran clear on 25 minutes but shot tamely at former Chelsea goalkeeper Turnbull.
And just before half-time in this Yorkshire derby Rob Jones’ sloppy back-pass went straight to Vaughan, but Turnbull was out quickly to deny him.
The keeper also rushed off his line to make a sliding challenge on Vaughan with 15 minutes left.
Doncaster boss Paul Dickov said: “With and without the ball I thought we were excellent. We were put under a lot of pressure and coped really well."
