Arsenal target Geoffrey Kondogbia to buy-out Sevilla contract and join Monaco
ARSENAL look set to miss out on yet another transfer target, with Sevilla's Geoffrey Kondogbia set to join Monaco.
The holding midfielder has been connected to the Gunners and Manchester United such has been his growing in stature in La Liga.
The Spanish club have repeatedly said the French international is not for sale, unless a suitor meets his £17m buyout clause.
And it seems that Monaco have pipped the Gunners to the 20-year-old's signature.
French radio station RMC Sport understands a deal to bring Kondogbia is only a matter of weeks away.
They also note that Monaco will meet Kondogbia's buyout clause.
Kondogbia was previously linked to a cluster of top European clubs including Real Madrid and Juventus.
Meanwhile, QPR midfielder Stephane Mbia has moved to Sevilla on a season-long loan deal.
"This is a brilliant club and I am looking forward to having a great year and helping Cameroon reach the World Cup."
