Ricardo Vaz Te could be sacrificed to fund new West Ham transfer move
WEST HAM, who face Cheltenham in the Capital Cup tonight, will have to sell to buy if they are to do any more deals in the transfer market.
Boss Sam Allardyce said his chequebook was closed just last week following the signing of Stewart Downing and he is keen on bringing Roger Rojas on loan from Olimpia.
Ricardo Vaz Te is one likely casualty.
And co-chairman David Sullivan has revealed there could still be some more deals in the offing.
Any new signings at West Ham are dependent on other players leaving
He said: “Sam and I are working on identifying new targets.
“However, the new rules state that if a team exceeds the new wage limit they could be hit with a points deduction. As we are now close to that limit, players can only be brought in if there is money left in the wage budget. Any new signings at West Ham are dependent on other players leaving.”
