Barcelona looking to hijack Arsenal and Chelsea's interest in Iker Casillas
BARCELONA are devising a way to bring Real Madrid shot stopper Iker Casillas to the Camp Nou.
Casillas has become increasingly disenchanted with life at the Bernebeu and was benched for Real's opening day victory against Real Betis in Carlo Ancelotti's first game in charge.
The 32-year-old has been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger distinctly unimpressed with Wojciech Szczesny's display in their surprise defeat at home to Aston Villa.
Both Premier League clubs had been handed a boost in their hunt for the Spaniard after footage on Spanish TV programme Tiki-Taka showing Casillas refusing to take part in a warm-up.
And according to the programme, there is set to be a meeting with Barca's president Sandro Rossell and sporting director Andoni Zubizaretta to discuss the possibility of buying Casillas.
Casillas' contract expires in 2017.
He has made 654 appearances for Los Blancos, and won five La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues and a Copa del Rey during an illustrious career at the Bernebeu.
