Spurs on brink of signing 'next Luka Modric' after agreeing £10m fee
SPURS appear to be on the verge of signing Alen Halilovic after agreeing a £10m fee according to reports.
The 17-year-old Dinamo Zagreb midfielder has been linked with Spurs this window along with team-mate Tin Jedvaj, although Andre Villas-Boas missed out on him.
Spurs were initially in negotiations with Halilovic and the club have a good relationship with Zagreb after they reached an amicable agreement for the transfer of the now-Real Madrid star Luka Modric.
According to Croatian paper Sportske Novosti, Spurs have struck a deal for £10m.
They also note that Halilovic's family were in Manchester for a youth tournament, and are convinced by the terms offered by Spurs.
However, the paper goes on to report that should Halilovic could be loaned back to Dinamo if he completes his switch to north London.
Halilovic made just three appearances for Dinamo last season.
