Manchester City pull out of move for Anzhi star Willian
MANCHESTER CITY appear to have distanced themselves from a move for Anzhi star Willian.
The Russian giants are keen to cut their costs and are considering putting up a number of high profile players including Samuel Eto'o and Chris Samba.
We reported last week that City were lining up a £35m bid for Willian after missing out on him in January.
But now it seems a move is off the cards after City denied their interest in him.
Even his bargain price has failed to arouse interest from a team that has outlaid nearly £90m on players so far this summer.
Meanwhile, Manuel Pellegrini has hinted at making a few more signings before the window closes.
City could go for a new defender with Matija Nastasic at risk of missing out on the start of the season.
