Dwight Yorke: Wayne Rooney needs to feel the love at United
DWIGHT YORKE has challenged Manchester United manager David Moyes to start earning his money by talking Wayne Rooney into a happier future at Old Trafford.
The former United forward believes the club’s fans have not yet seen the best of Rooney and believes he is key to the new manager’s ability to maintain the success they enjoyed under Sir Alex Ferguson.
“Every player wants to feel loved and wanted,” said Yorke.
“Until that is reinstalled back into Wayne’s belief, you won’t see the best of him. That’s up to the manager. That’s why he is getting paid the big bucks. Once Rooney is in the position to do that, this will be his best year.”
