League One round-up: Russell Slade happy with his start
LEYTON ORIENT manager Russell Slade lauded his players as they made it three wins in three with a 3-0 victory over Shrewsbury.
Slade said: “That was a superb performance.
“There are a lot of very talented people around the world, not just in football, that are unsuccessful and the key is to be persistent, determined and committed and that’s exactly what we were.”
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett praised striker Leigh Griffiths after he led them to a 4-0 win against Gillingham at Molineux.
Griffiths, Lee Evans and Bakary Sako were all on target in the first half before Griffiths scored a second-half penalty.
Jackett said: “We feel that if we can get our play right, get our passing right, and if we create, that Leigh Griffiths will put the finishing touches to it.
“I’m sure he’s delighted to get off the mark in the first home game.”
