Jose Mourinho ready to rotate at Chelsea
JOSE MOURINHO has warned his Chelsea stars that no one is safe as he plots a path through a hectic season.
Chelsea locked horns with AC Milan in New York in the early hours of the morning in their second match of the Guinness International Cup.
Two more matches, in Miami and Washington DC, will give Mourinho a real insight into how he is going to try and wrestle the title from Manchester United.
But with trophies targeted on both domestic and European fronts, he knows he will have to shuffle his pack.
“Where can I fit all the players in?” he said. “I hope to play 60 matches, so we will use rotation of players, that’s for sure."
Victor Moses, who impressed in Thursday’s win over Inter Milan in Indianapolis, will provide an electric option for Mourinho. And with Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Andre Schurrle waiting in the wings, Chelsea’s squad is brimming with young guns ready to let rip.
Mourinho added: “Victor has been terrific. He is another one who is working very hard. He hasn’t missed a single minute of a training session.
“Victor is a very good option for us. In his position where we have Hazard, De Bruyne, Schurrle and Victor – a coach can change during a match and give new life and fresh blood to the team. He makes the squad stronger and gives us options.”
