Chelsea and Arsenal still on red alert for Bayern Munich's Luiz Gustavo
CHELSEA and Arsenal target Luiz Gustavo has been coy over whether he will stay at Bayern Munich next season.
The Brazilian midfield enforcer has seen his first-team place come under threat with Bayern's midfield crowded following the arrival of Thiago Alcantara.
Gustavo is believed to be available for as little as £15m with Arsenal and Chelsea prepared to fight for his signature.
Wolfsburg became the latest club to express an interest with their sporting director Klaus Alloffs recently suggesting he would be a welcome addition to the squad.
"When the speculations about Bayern having too many midfielders came up, we said that Luiz Gustavo would be a player who'd fit us very well in terms of his quality," Alloffs told German paper SID.
And Gustavo, whose future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, hasn't ruled out a move.
"I am very happy at Bayern. I have two years left on my contract, but you don't know what will happen until August 31," Gustavo told German paper SID.
Gustavo chipped in with four Bundesliga goals last term.
