GARETH BALE has arrived for pre-season training at Tottenham's Enfield base for a second day running - as Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirms that talks are ongoing for the Welshman.
Spurs are training today ahead of their trip to Monaco for a friendly against the French Principality outfit on Saturday, with the future of Bale garnering intense speculation.
Whether or not Bale takes his place on the flight from Stansted Airport to the south of France tomorrow will be an indicator of where he will be playing his football this season.
Real are keen to push through an £85million move, with young Spanish forward Alvaro Morata tipped to be part of the deal.
Bale will take part in straightforward training sessions today as he continues to recover from a glute injury, but Ancelotti earlier claimed that talks were taking place to bring the 24-year-old to the Bernabeu.
"The club is talking right now to find a solution to the case of Bale, but there is no news in this regard," the Italian said.
"I've never talked to Bale because they usually do not talk to players from another team and now we would just talk to him.
"It's hard to talk about Bale as a player of Madrid, let's see what happens. I am very happy with the squad and with the work we are doing.
Ancelotti ruled out Luka Modric returning to White Hart Lane as part of a package deal for Bale, and insisted he was content with his current squad.
"All players are working well, we have not discussed anything about outputs, so it is not true about Modric - he is a player very important to us," continued Ancelotti.
"Modric will play with us this season.
"The squad is very good, as I have said many times there is quality, experience, character and it is young."
Meanwhile, Tottenham have spent £26m on Valencia striker Roberto Soldado.
