West Brom reject £850k bid for Peter Odemwingie from Dubai
WEST BROM have rejected Dubai club Al Nasr’s £850,000 bid for Peter Odemwingie.
The striker has been training with the reserves following his attempts to force a move to QPR in January, but Albion are holding out for £2m.
Odemwingie was on the fringes of the West Brom squad in the second half of last season, with the 32-year-old falling out with Baggies fans over his ill-fated dash to Loftus Road.
Fulham are reportedly willing to pay £1.5m to land the Nigerian international this summer, despite Hawthorns boss Steve Clarke stating in May he would only see for Odemwingie's full £4.5m market value.
However, with his position at West Brom becoming increasingly untenable, Martin Jol may be able to land his target for less than half the initial figure.
The Cottagers have been taken over by billionaire tycoon Shahid Khan, who bought the club from Mohamed Al Fayed for £150m.
Odemwingie's contract at the Hawthorns is due to expire next June.
