Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini leaves pre-season trip
MANCHESTER CITY manager Manuel Pellegrini has left the club’s pre-season trip to South Africa to return to Chile for personal reasons.
He was due to take charge of City’s friendly against AmaZulu in Durban tonight, which City lost 2-1, but assistants Brian Kidd and Ruben Cousillas led the team instead.
It is unclear when Pellegrini will rejoin his new players but he is likely to link up with the squad in Hong Kong, where City arrive on Monday.
Fiorentina have confirmed that they will sell striker Stevan Jovetic to City for £22.4million, plus add-ons.
While new striker Alvaro Negredo underwent his medical at City prior to completing his £20m move from Sevilla, Brazilian misfit Maicon has completed his free transfer to Roma.
