CONFIRMED: Real Madrid break Man City hearts by finalising deal for Isco
REAL MADRID have completed a deal for Isco this morning, after the 21-year-old signed a five-year contract.
The Malaga playmaker, who was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, joined for a fee of £23m.
Isco, as we reported last week was torn between Los Blancos and Citizens, as he indicated a desire to join forces again with Manuel Pellegrini.
Though the Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, had previously told the Spanish press that Isco would be formally unveiled as a Real player next week, his transfer has been accelerated.
A statement on the club's website read: "Real Madrid incorporates a new project with one of the best Spanish football players.
"Francisco Roman Alarcon - Isco - plays at the Bernabeu for the next five seasons."
Isco helped Malaga reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League as well as Spain retain their European Under-21 title this summer.
