Inter Milan keep door ajar for Manchester City defender Micah Richards
MANCHESTER CITY defender Micah Richards has come into focus for Inter Milan, even though they are yet to table an official offer.
Richards, as we reported last week, was due to hold talks over a new deal although no agreement has been reached yet.
The 24-year-old's right-back was curtailed by injury, and was limited to just eight appearances.
With Manchester United plotting a double swoop for Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia and midfielder Fredy Guarin, the Serie A giants could be tempted to step up their interest in Richards.
And Richards' Italian agent, Dario Canovi, believes a move for Richards isn't beyond the realms of possibility.
"I personally have not been contacted by the Nerazzurri but it is possible that Inter are interested because I know for a fact that Mazzarri really likes him," he told Italian website inter live.it
"He wanted Micah when he was at Napoli, he is an ideal player for his defence and would not fit well into Rafa Benitez's game (at Napoli)."
