Ezequiel Garay goes house hunting as he takes step closer to Manchester United
MANCHESTER UNITED have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay.
Garay has been heavily backed to leave the Europa League finalists this summer, and apparently there is already a 'gentlemen's agreement' in place for his £17m switch.
The 26-year-old's impending arrival could have ramifications for Nemanja Vidic, with the 33-year-old Serb garnering interest from AC Milan.
And now it seems a move to the Barclays Premier League champions is close to being realised for him.
A report in Portuguese paper Record has it Garay has been viewing houses in the North West.
While negotiations are at an advanced stage, a separate report suggests that Garay's father has been tight-lipped about his son's future.
Garay was a mainstay for the Benfica back line last term, racking up 41 appearances in all competitions.
