CONFIRMED: Manchester City seal signing of Jesus Navas from Sevilla
MANCHESTER CITY have announced that Spanish winger Jesus Navas has moved to the Etihad Stadium from La Liga side Sevilla this evening.
The 27-year-old is on international duty but completed a medical at New York FC, the partnership between Manchester City and the New York Yankees.
Navas has won 23 international caps and has helped his country win the 2010 World Cup and the European Championships in 2012.
Navas said: "Manchester City is an exciting project and this is the right moment for me to take this step. I'm very happy with the opportunity and the decision.
"The Premier League is a competition where the football is very fast and will suit the way I play. I'm really looking forward to it.
"I'm going to a great club in England and I want to continue developing my game there. The Club has put a lot of faith in me and I want to repay them out on the pitch."
City did not reveal a figure for Navas but it is believed to be in the region of £15 million.
The move marks the second transfer of the summer for City, who last week signed Brazil star Fernandinho from Shakhtar Donetsk.
