Wayne Rooney backed to stay at Manchester United after odds shorten
WAYNE ROONEY has been heavily backed to spend another season at Manchester United after a leading bookmaker shortened their odds.
United appeared to drop their clearest hint yesterday that Rooney would not be leaving after he was made the centrepiece at the launch of their new home kit.
Rooney, who was reported to have handed in a second transfer request within the space of three years, has been linked with moves to Arsenal and PSG.
But William Hill believes he will be a United player come September 3, as his price has been cut from 8/11 to 1/2 today.
They have offered odds of 6/1 for him to join Chelsea and 7/1 to join Arsenal.
Bayern Munich and PSG have both been priced at 8/1 to prise him away from Old Trafford.
