Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for the right move as he puts Spanish villa up for sale
CRISTIANO RONALDO has fuelled speculation he could leave Real Madrid this summer by putting his stunning villa up for sale.
A Madrid-based property agency have begun advertising the seven-bedroom house – which boasts two swimming pools – on their website at an eye-watering £5million.
Ronaldo has two years remaining on his contract at the La Liga side but has insisted he will not sign a new one – meaning Real will have to sell either this summer or next to recoup a large proportion of the world record £80m transfer fee they paid Manchester United for the 28-year-old Portuguese winger in 2009.
United officials have played down suggestions they will buy him back, despite the many rumours about his return to Old Trafford, but Qatari-backed Paris Saint-Germain have made no secret of their ambition to add him to their stellar cast list.
However, former Real defender Michel Salgado says it is vital for his former club to keep Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.
“He is now the most important player we have got in our club,” said Salgado. “What will be important is that the next manager and their project can offer him what he wants to keep going with Real Madrid.“I don’t think it’s about money or that he is demanding too much. He has two more years on his contract and what he wants is a project for the long term. It’s important to build a team around a brand and a player like Ronaldo.”
