Monaco set to provide escape route for unsettled Manchester United winger Nani
MANCHESTER UNITED winger Nani has emerged as a fresh transfer target for Monaco.
The affluent French outfit, bankrolled by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, haven't been afraid to splash the cash as they seek to re-establish themselves as a domestic force in French football.
The 2004 Champions League finalists have already splashed out £60m for Porto duo James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho, and gazumped Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea to land Radamel Falcao for a reported £50m fee.
Nani has been earmarked for a move with Juventus potential suitors, as David Moyes looks to rebuild his squad.
And it seems Monaco are ready to make another bold statement by signing the Portuguese.
According to a report in a British paper, Monaco are readying a £20m move to claw Nani away from Old Trafford.
Negotiations have reached an impasse over a new deal for him, and Moyes is expected to be handed a sizeable war chest, believed to be in the region of £80m, for reinforcements.
Nani started just 10 Premier League games for United last season.
