Neymar: England are not a World Cup threat
BARCELONA-bound striker Neymar has stoked the fires ahead of England's friendly match against Brazil tomorrow by insisting that England will not win the 2014 World Cup.
The 21-year-old, who has starred for Santos in his homeland but will join Spanish giants Barca next season, said he respected England's players for their achievements at club level, but doesn't consider Roy Hodgson's team a threat to Brazil's mission to win the World Cup on home soil.
"I have respect for a lot of the England players as they have achieved great things at their clubs.
"But, as a national team, I don't look at England and think they are going to be a real threat at the World Cup.
"We want to win the World Cup in front of our home fans."
Speaking to The Sun, Neymar said the only teams that could realistically prevent that from happening were Germany and Spain.
He added: "After that it's a group including Argentina, Holland, Italy and one or two more. But England I don't even think about."
