Chelsea to seal £20m deal for Andre Schurrle with Kevin De Bruyne set for Leverkusen loan
ANDRE SCHURRLE'S protracted transfer to Chelsea looks set to be completed in the coming days, after Bayer Leverkusen's general manager revealed an agreement had been reached.
Schurrle has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Chelsea over the past few months, with the two clubs locked in negotiations for the German international.
However, according to Bayer Leverkusen general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser, the saga appears as good as over with the Bundesliga outfit landing winger Kevin De Bruyne on loan as part of the deal.
"We have reached an agreement with Chelsea," Wolfgang Holzhauser told regional German newspaper Rheinische Post.
"They are going to buy Andre Schurrle for a specific fee and, in return, they will loan De Bruyne to us for a year for free.
"I expect Chelsea to stand by what has been agreed."
The transfer figure is thought to be £20 million, with the 22-year-old expected to have already agreed terms with the West London club.
