Internacional president denies contact with Spurs for Leandro Damiao
INTERNACIONAL president has moved to quash suggestions that Leandro Damiao is holding talks with clubs over a summer move.
Damiao has been the subject of mounting speculation, with Spurs and Napoli after the Brazilian hit man.
Spurs appear to be in the driving seat for Damiao, as they are readying a £36m double bid for him and Roberto Soldado.
Furthermore, Marseille have ruled themselves out of the running for him, as they have deemed too expensive.
"No club contacted me. I was there [in Europe] alone," Internacional's president Giovanni Luigi told Radio Gaucha.
"I went to see the [Wembley] stadium well and to watch the game. But I didn't talk with anybody regarding the player."
Damiao finished top scorer at last summer's Olympic football tournament.
