Liverpool set to confirm deal for Manchester City's Kolo Toure
LIVERPOOL appear to have made Kolo Toure their first summer signing after agreeing a deal in principle for the defender.
The Ivorian is set to be registered as a Liverpool player on July 1 when his contract at Manchester City expires.
Toure has a wealth of Premier League experience, having played for Arsenal and during his four years at Eastlands, racked up over 100 appearances.
Brendan Rodgers has turned to the 32-year-old as he looks to bolster his back line following the retirement of Jamie Carragher.
Toure was part of the 'Invincibles' squad of 2003/04 when Arsenal went the whole Premier League campaign unbeaten.
