William Hill slash odds on Roberto Martinez to become next Everton manager
WIGAN manager Roberto Martinez has been installed as the even money favourite by William Hill to succeed David Moyes at Goodison Park.
Martinez guided the Latics to FA Cup glory against Manchester City at Wembley, but couldn't save his side from the drop after they lost 4-1 to Arsenal in their penultimate game of their doomed Premier League campaign.
The Spaniard has said he will join Wigan on their open-top bus parade but says he needs time to reflect on his future.
He has been priced as even money favourite to replace David Moyes, who was given a tour of Manchester United's training ground complex Carrington and met up with the squad earlier today.
Among the other candidates for the Everton post, Phil Neville has been priced at 4/1, with Celtic boss Neil Lennon at 5/1 and Alan Stubbs at 6/1.
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has been given odds of 6/5 to still be a Manchester United player come the end of the summer transfer window even though he has been angling for a move away from Old Trafford.
