Gus Poyet suspended by Brighton board
BRIGHTON have suspended manager Gus Poyet and banned him from the club pending an inquiry into comments made about his future, following defeat by Crystal Palace in the play-off semi-final.
Brighton confirm it has suspended its manager, assistant manager and its first-team coach.
Poyet and assistants Mauricio Taricco and Charlie Oatway have also been suspended.
Poyet is a potential candidate to replace Martin Jol at Fulham, with the Dutchman’s future also uncertain.
Brighton said in a statement: “Brighton confirm it has suspended its manager, assistant manager and its first-team coach. The club will now follow its internal procedures.”
